60' "Explorer"
Explorer is a classic North Sea Trawler. Her massively constructed wooden hull was built in Norway in 1976. Her aluminum deck-house and rich teak interior cabin work was executed at the Malahide Shipyard in Dublin Ireland. Explorer was completely refit in Maine in 1988 after which she won the silver cup as the best power boat in show at the prestigious Newport Wooden boat Show. She was recently featured on he cover of Ocean Navigator Magazine in its March/April 1994 issue.
With her four fin stabilizer system, steadying sails and a cruising range of 3,000 miles she is capable of delivering her passengers to any port in remarkable comfort, style, and safety. This unique vessel commands the attention and respect of mariners in every harbor she enters. Ocean Navigator called Explorer, “a yacht which may embody the dreams of every long-range power voyager.”

There are five species of Salmon in Alaska, as well as Halibut, Trout, Crab, and Prawns. We have a fifteen foot fishing skiff as well as tackle, traps, and licenses. We can also arrange for a professional fly fishing guide to come along on your trip.
Alaska is the summer home to humpback whales. Brown Bears feeding on salmon, Sea Otters, Orca, Sea Lions, Bald Eagles, and Wolves are some of the wildlife you are likely to see.
